It is an easy place to stay; incredibly simple and it does not have many extras. But it was quaint.
No breakfast. Nothing in the room but a bed, dresser, small fringe, and coffee pot.
I thought the price for the room was great. Also, lots of parking was available.
I stepped on a piece of broken glass in my shower. The housekeeping should clean more carefully.
price was fair, free parking and internet were a great deal.
staff wasn't always ready to help, room smelled as indeed a very old one, no hair dryer in the room and no breakfast
Good location, in walking distance of both Hollywood Blvd, Sunset Blv, The Grove. Paramount Studios nearby. Free parking at the back. Not far from Larchmont Village were you have several nice restaurants. Thai, Korean all within a 10 min walk. Coffeemaker and refrigerator in the room.
The only disadvantage I could name is the lack of an elevator.
Price and character
Very noisy location, old windows did not insulate sound well, poor water pressure for the shower
Location, hdtv... Our room could see the sign of "Hollywood"
it has a big parking lot and it's free
it's really historic and need some renovation. bath is too small, old and dirty
Nice hotel with its own atmosphere. Parking for free. Spacious room.
The bathroom could be renovated. Quite far from the city centre (Walk of fame etc.) if you go on foot.
Very poor facilities, they even don't have the hairedrier and escalator!
the decoration of the hotel with all the hollywood photos on the wall and that from my bathroom window I can see the hollywood sign
Smell old but it's a old building
Does not look like a hotel with it's room price range (in a good way). Room is really clean and has flat-screen tv and digital cables to watch. Ac works great and even an electric heater is included. Lots of parking space.
My room (3rd floor corner room) had a bathroom with a large window and no shades, people can see you shower from an angle. The hotel is on a busy street so traffic noise could be an issue to some people
Distance from everything, very very noisy (a noisy street and single glazing windows), no elevators, Not very friendly personel...
Good size room with comfortable bed. The hotel is decorated as a in the 30's and I like that very much. An extra was the view of the Hollywood sign from my room.
The rooms at the street side are very noisy, so take earplugs if you are a bad sleeper.
Hotel is old (smelly), outdated (no outlets in bathroom, no deadbolt lock), and my wife and I were uncomfortable staying here. This is very bare bones.
Old style hotel with nice picture from old hollywood all around. Easy access from freeway.
Building from the beginning of 20th century. Its nice but... Old!
